1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using GARI ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part, you may not use our services.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 21 years old to rent a vehicle
- You must possess a valid Indian driving license (minimum 1 year)
- You must complete Aadhaar verification
- Owners must be 18+ with valid vehicle documents
3. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining account security
- You must provide accurate and truthful information
- One account per person; no sharing of accounts
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
4. For Renters
4.1 Booking and Payment
- Bookings are confirmed only after payment
- Mol-Tol (negotiation) offers are binding once accepted
- Security deposits are held via Razorpay and refunded post-trip
4.2 Vehicle Usage
- Use vehicle only within agreed dates and locations
- No commercial use without owner permission
- No smoking, pets, or illegal activities
- Maintain fuel level as received
- ILP (Inner Line Permit) required for restricted areas
4.3 Damage and Liability
- Report any damage immediately via the app
- You are liable for damage during your rental period
- Deductions may be made from security deposit for damages
- Disputes resolved via our mediation process
5. For Owners
5.1 Listing Requirements
- Vehicle must be registered in your name or authorized fleet
- Valid insurance and fitness certificate required
- Accurate photos and specifications
- Maintain vehicle in roadworthy condition
5.2 Subscription Plans
- Starter (Free): 15% commission per booking
- Pro (₹999/month): 8% commission
- Elite (₹2,499/month): 0% commission
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
5.3 Payouts
- Payouts processed within T+1 of trip completion
- Bank account must be KYC verified
- GST applicable for owners earning above threshold
6. GARI Score
Your GARI Score reflects your trustworthiness on the platform:
- Based on verification level, reviews, and behavior
- Higher scores unlock premium features
- Fraudulent activity results in score penalties
7. Cancellation Policy

8. Prohibited Activities
- Fraudulent bookings or fake reviews
- Off-platform transactions
- Harassment of other users
- Violation of traffic laws
- Subletting rented vehicles
9. Dispute Resolution
Disputes are handled through our in-app mediation process. If unresolved, matters are subject to arbitration in Guwahati, Assam under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
10. Limitation of Liability
GARI is a marketplace platform connecting owners and renters. We are not liable for accidents, vehicle defects, or disputes between parties. Our liability is limited to platform fees paid.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Major changes will be notified via email/WhatsApp.
